What you need to know about shipping and time required to build:
SHIPPING:
Standard shipping is Priority Mail and generally takes 2-5 days from zip code 01453 (see USPS.com for more information)
Upon checkout, processing takes 1-3 days
See specific items for shipping and handling costs
I can ship via your UPS or FedEx account, just provide the number and address at checkout or by email after checkout; no discounts will be made for this - the shipping charge is also a handling charge
I do not offer overnight shipping
In special cases, I have worked out overnight shipping arrangements with customers, for example if they have had FedEx or UPS accounts or they are willing to pay the extra amounts, but YOU MUST CONTACT ME and ask if I can pull this off; even if you contact me, I cannot guarantee I will be able to put products in the mail that day
If time is an issue, you must contact me to ask if I can get your order in the mail when you need it - Please keep in mind that this is a hobby for me, and while I like helping people learn about the Globe, I am just one person -- thank you for your understanding!
TIMING:
This can be a difficult project and I recommend that you allow plenty of time (and patience) to finish it
If you have waited until the last minute to build a model for a class, this may not be the way to go, unless you get the kit and work hard at it
My own thoughts:
I think that with a lot of creativity this model can look stunning, but it is ONLY a student's model! The model is built from scratch with foam board and dowels. It will be as perfect as you make it!
I frequently get asked if this website is still active and kits are available... yes, as of Spring/Summer 2007. Rest assured that I remove the Paypal links when I am unable to fulfill orders (vacations, out of supplies, etc.)
If you are interested in knowing how long I've been in business and what volume of sales I see, look at my Sales Figures.
I'm sorry the 20" kit is not available at this time.
RETURN POLICY:
EXCHANGES ONLY: I do not accept or issue returns... with that in mind, feel free to ask me any questions you have about this model by emailing me below!

1. Patterns and instructions to build your own model of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
What you will need for construction:
Foam Board - for a 10" model you will need at least 5 pieces of foam board 12"x12", and for a 20" model you will need at least 5 pieces of 22"x22" plus about 2-3 sq. feet for other pieces
Small Dowels - 3/16" diameter - number and length vary by pattern
Large Dowels - for 20" model 1/2" diameter about a foot long - for 10" model 1/4" diameter about 6" long
Balsa Wood or other thin and sturdy material - approximately 3 sq. feet depending on layout of pieces
Adhesive - Hot glue is recommended because it dries very quickly and is easy to clean up (or at least easier than crazy glue) but tacky glue works well if you're willing to be patient - I have also found that PHOTO MOUNT ADHESIVE is especially useful for gluing down the larger pieces to foam board evenly!
Drinking Straws or Cardboard - When it comes to drinking straws, any diameter will do, but if you use the standard 1/4" size, you will need to split the straw lengthwise to fit - you may also use cardboard as a temporary spacer instead of the straws
Paper - for the outside wall of the Theatre - textured paper is recommended for esthetics, but not necessary - approximately 5.5 sq. ft. for 20" model and 36"x8" for 10" model
Tools - a drill or other tool to make holes in foam board - X-Acto knife - Scissors - Metal Ruler or straight-edge
Other - items to decorate the globe, like sand paper for the groundling area, thatch (straw) for roof, paint, etc.
Shipping for plans only is $4.05
Pattern and instructions to build a 10" model of the Globe Theatre - $10.00
Pattern and instructions to build a 20" model of the Globe Theatre - $30.00
